The Wars of the Roses or as it was sometimes called, the Cousins War, represented a fascinating period of English history.
Fascinating though it may be, it is a difficult period to understand; not least because of the intricacies of competing claims to the English crown, shifting balances of power as key players changed allegiances and the relationship between England and its neighbouring island countries and with France.

Some words about views and releases
As with any complex, multi-faceted subject, there are probably as many different ways of viewing it as there are people interested in it. One of the main aims of this website is to provide a number of different views of the Wars of the Roses that will, hopefully, satisfy most visitors. This approach should be immediately obvious from the different ways of entering the site offered above Once inside, other viewpoints are provided. An attempt has also been made to help visitors track a particular event from different viewpoints as seamlessly as possible. The site is in an early stage of development and any suggestions for improving this aspect will be gratefully received and should be made via the contact menu item at the top of the page.
As mentioned, the site has been launched at an early stage in its development. Most of the initial structure is there, although there are some more items to come, but there is very little content so far. This has been done deliberately; again, to allow visitors the chance to influence the site as it develops further. The same comment about using the contact page to submit criticism (hopefully constructive), comments, suggestions and advice as mentioned in the previous paragraph apply here. Unless otherwise specified, the intention would be to mention and accredit any user input that results in change within one of the occasional blogs.
